Love Fest at 2nd Creek!
Fall in love with your sports car all over again with an exhilarating =
drive at 2nd Creek Raceway on September 8th. The second of the Z Car =
Club of Colorado's twice-yearly track events promises more fun than =
ever! Won't you join us for another outstanding day of safe hot-lapping! =
As the host club, we always have an impressive showing of Zs at the =
track. But remember, this is not a Z-only event. For the past 10 years =
we've hosted drivers with a diverse group of cars, including =
Cobras/Mustangs, Porsches, Corvettes, BMWs, Hondas, Miatas,, Camaros, =
Ferraris and others. Here's your chance to invite your car enthusiast =
friends who drive other marques to join you and us for a great time! =
Let's spread the joy, OK?
Tech sessions will be of two types:=20
By appointment only from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday - Friday, Sept. 4-7, at Bob =
Denney's in Lakewood (11205 W. Center Ave., 303-988-8570). The Denney =
home is near Alameda and Union; call Bob or Mary Anne for directions.
Without appointment on Monday, Sept. 3rd (yes, Labor Day), from 4 p.m. =
to 7 p.m. at the Bracken's, 2487 So. Dover Way in Lakewood. Call Gary or =
Pam at 303-969-9964 for directions (it's near Wadsworth and Yale).
Tech will also be available at 2nd Creek on the day of the event from =
7:15 to 8:00 a.m. If at all possible, please have your car teched at one =
of the earlier sessions listed above. If you have questions about tech =
inspection - - or about whether your car is track-worthy - - call Gary =
Bracken or Bob Denney.
We look forward to seeing track regulars and new folks as well for some =
spirited driving and camaraderie at this event. Don't forget that Mo's =
great Cajun food, burgers, dogs and other goodies (including scrumptious =
breakfast burritos!) are available trackside next to the covered picnic =
benches. Bench-racing, good food, and talking cars with like-minded =
enthusiasts while having breakfast, lunch or a snack is pretty hard to =
beat!
