This morning I visited the body shop and brought my body home. I basically
rolled the chassis with the engine (sans manifolds and carbs). The body was
dropped down onto the frame, the bolts bolted in, and I towed the car home.
Now I have a wonderful jig-saw puzzle on my hands.
I am in a unique situation right now as well, the car is in Santa Ana (My
In-Laws), I am working in down town Los Angeles, and my home is in Tempe, AZ.
I fly to LA on Mondays and home on Thursdays. I am planning on spending the
next few weekdays at my in-laws instead of the hotel, while it will be a bit of
a drive in the morning to get to work, I can work on the car in the evenings.
Soooo.. That being said, while I have a lot of manual, one-man work to do, I
could use the occasional visit from someone who knows a bit more than me. I'll
be working on the car generally Mon/Tue/Wed 7pm-10pm for the next several
weeks. If anyone wants to stop by to lend a hand, just drop me an email, it
would be greatly appreciated.
I have added a few new pictures to my site. BTW, dropping the body onto the
frame with the engine was very simple. Thanks Paul Bauman for the suggestion!
