First, thanks for for posting the Shasta pics. It really reinforces our
intentions to make it again next year. We might even bring a 510 this time.

As far as your alternator is concerned, check out Tom Walter's article at:

Even though it's aimed at the 510 I'd suspect the process, maybe even the
wiring codes, are the same. Don't assume that's the case though, Check to be
sure.
