There were several British cars running the Datsun/Toyota 5 speed conversion
at a meet I recently attended. There's a company in GB that makes all the
adapters to make it a bolt in. They use the ZX/280Z or Supra trannies not
the Roadster trannies.
I think the kit is almost $1000 excluding tranny, but the trannies are
relatively cheap and easy to get rebuilt.
I have seen the kit in MGBs and Triumph TR6s. Nice bit of engineering as
several of the kits include a shifter kit so the shifter is in the original
hole. Slight modifications to the car are necessary to fit it in however.
