>Are the motor mount fasteners accessed from the top of the car or from
underneath? What exactly is undone?
Marc,
Do not fear! The info is here! Our motor mounts are fastened on the bottom
by 2 5/16 SAE fine bolts, the front bolt has a welded nut on the fame, the
aft, has a nut and lock washer. Undo these first. Then undo the top nuts
with a 1/2 socket. The inside nut can be a slight pain but not that bad.
Then jack up the engine (use a wood pad to protect the oil pan) until you
clear the top studs and slide out the mounts. Replace in reverse order. if
your pulling the engine don't bother undoing the top nuts. the rubber mounts
will come out with the engine.
By the way, my first post to the list was titled "Motor Mount Fun" where I
asked the same questions.
If there's spelling and grammar errors above, please forgive me, my after
work Margarita has done it's job quite effectively!
