To add to Eric's note:
Congratulations to Gordon Glasgow, for being the first person to correctly
identify the owners of the cars. However, as he has also taken photographs of
the race car, and indeed, taken it thru 2 different drivers schools, we shall
consider him to have inside knowledge.
The most amazing discovery is that Craig Halsted, from New York, was not only
able to identify the owners/cars, but to also find where the cars were, contact
the owners by phone, and was very understanding of our warped sense of humor.
This should explain how he continues to come up with such fantastic finds. All
this with a broken wrist.
Our apologies for any worries or concerns over our belated April 1st joke.
Thanks.
Dan & Susan
PS: Craig: Your outstanding effort will not go unnoticed. We will do everything
we can to track down and secure the missing quarter panel.
<< Good detective work....
I sent out some other mails but they did not make to the list resolving
this situation (on monday or maybe it was tuesday). The owners were
found (myself being one of them :-)
Yes that is my race car and 3 of the other cars are mine as well. This was
to be an April fools joke, but I was moving then so I could not do it. I
just found the picture a few weeks ago, and well couldn't wait till next
year. It had some truths in the poor joke, the hangers are being torn
down and I am very busy with customer from Japan.
I had some extra time before the Japaness customer showed up and this
seemed like a good idea at the time (I was missing my stolen roadster) so
a offer that seemed like a dream come true (for me would be for my car to
be found) for others to find the hanger...sorry if I inconvinced anyone,
I am glad to see that everyone is still very passionate about their
roadsters, I am feeling withdrawels not seeing or knowing where mine is
for 2+weks now (and knowing it has been raining every other day and my car
does not have a top :-(
kind Regards,
Eric
