Well I don't want to get started on politics, but our politicians are
worthless here! Number 1 pain is that it's very congested and getting more
so. We had a major earthquake in 1989 that took out our Bay Bridge, and
after a patching they're still debating how to fix it 11 years later. The
bridge is unsafe and the eastern half will collapse in the next big quake.
Meanwhile it's even more congested than 1989. Likewise problems with other
roads in the SF area, fewer of them with more usage. We lost a few freeways
and ramps, not replaced. We're losing parking spaces by the thousands due
to overbuilding and regulations against lots. Then we got the energy
problems. There's more signal lights and power outages create logjams. And
it seems that gas is more expensive than anywhere else in the nation (and
the formulation sucks).
The open spaces in Idaho sound very appealing to me with my roadsters for
retirement!

California wacked out? There are some veeeery "interesting" people and areas
in Northern Idaho. Do you have a gun rack on your roll bar?
