I always end up putting the fuse back
because the brakes are always better
with ABS than without. It's worth a try
for those who think all technological
evolution is something bad. Try it where
it wont bother other traffic.
One car that I tried it did not start without
the fuse and if I pulled the fuse with the
engine running, the shifter was locked in park.
Then I started the car, set the shifter to
neutral and pulled the fuse. The car was
limited to 50 mph. Low tech system?
I dont think so.
Some manufacturers (no names mentioned)
have smaller calipers and rotors on cars with
ABS than without. Then ABS become a way
to sell more cars than actually doing anything
for the safety.
