Vent wing windows

Hey there, I sent my windows out to be chromed, Just a quick question here,
Have any of you ever taken them apart, (Mine are apart) The chrome shop had
me remove the pot metal piece, the one that the glass swivels on. I am
curious what you have done when you reassemble them, I drilled the rivets
holding this in out. Any input would be appreciated.
