I also have come up with a tool box, one that doesn't take any of the usable
space in the trunk.  Get a 5 gallon paint bucket and cut the height down to
whatever you can fit under your spare tire.  Cut a hole in the bottom of the
bucket the same size as the inside diameter of a large diameter core of a roll
of duct tape.  Tape an almost used roll of duct tape in place over the hole
and set it over the spare tire mount and fill it with whatever you like.  The
parts are all in one place and out of the way!
