John: In regards to the 1600 trans, there is a "between" model of trans that has the servo synchro's, but has the larger counter shaft (individual needle bearings). We used these in the race car, and never had any problems. Tried the Warner box twice, it stuck in 3rd gear twice. Dan & Susan << Of course, that 4-speed has the weak countershaft bearings.
