My wife fell in love with that color and wanted to paint her Z like it. The
closest we could find is a late-model VW silver. It might be the same as Porsche
Arctic Silver.

That is exactly what I would call it! ;-)
The closest match I can get from looking at the color charts is Beige Grey
Metallic, which really doesn't describe it ver well =P I want to take a
look at a paint chip, or better yet a whole car, if it's as pretty as I
think it was before all the mildew and rust I want to keep it that color =)
