If given the choice;
Always paint the car in pieces, but make sure the body shop puts the fenders
on the car to line up those seams between the door and the fenders and the
hood and the fenders BEFORE it's painted: not to mention the fit between the
doors and the rear quaraters: and last but certainly not least, make sure
they adjust the fit between those freshly chrome plated headlight rings and
your front fenders. You would be surprised how much material the chromer can
remove while polishing those things.
These "little" adjustments" will make a world of differance when you put the
car back together. (also keeps the finger pointing to a minimum when your
done!)
