Is there a way to tell what year a set of leaf springs 
is?  I know earlier cars had stiffer rear leaf springs.  
I've got access to a pile of springs and want the 
stiffer ones, but don't want to do trial and error to 
find the right ones. 

Has anyone added a leaf?  I could band in a second or 
third leaf to make them stiffer.  Would this be too 
stiff for an autocross only car?

BTW- A jig saw with a metal cutting blade goes through 
roadster fenders really well.
