I already sent a reply but didn't see it post yet. So here it is again.
I found an excellent machinist a couple years ago on the San Francisco
peninsula. Gary Clark, of Clarks Auto & Marine in Burlingame. He was
recommended to me by the local Nissan service shops. They send a lot of
their Z & 510 stuff to him, and he knows roadster engines. I remember seeing
a roadster block on his shelf. I took my 2000
head and block to him and he did a great job. He cleaned up the head and
installed new valves, hot-tanked the block and installed jackshaft bearings,
and ground and polished the crank and rods.
