She's mine! She's all mine! Ok, so she is ugly as sin and needs some
SERIOUS tlc, but again... SHE'S MIIIINE!!!

Ahem, sorry about that. I am just a tad excited about my purchase, I went
out today and bought the 66 1600 I mentioned yesterday, she is mechanically
in MUCH better shape than the others I've looked at. Granted, she is also
the least attractive, but at least all her vital bits are either attached or
included (owner even pulled the tags off of the bottoms of the seats and put
them aside in plastic) She's not been taken care of for quite some time.
The man I am purchasing her from was making an effort but got caught up in
his Harley and now needs the cash. He made me promise to bring her back to
beauty and not modify the hell out of her, which I thought was really
awesome.

She drives now, but she's a long long way off from being really -driveable-
I don't get to take possesion until this weekend or next week which is
breaking my heart, but I still have to pay the man =P

So as I start down the long, treacherous road of restoration I need some
tips. First of all, can anyone point me in the direction of a GOOD
tech/repair manual, either Datsun or third party. Secondly, for you
NOWROCers out there. Is there somewhere in the Portland area that rents out
workspace by the month? I have a garage but her initial work is going to
take up some space, we could do it in our place but it would be cramped as
heck. And again, to the NOWROCs, does anyone want to get together after
I've gotten her home and take a look at her? I've got some ideas about how
I am going to progress but I'd love some input from those of you out there
that have done it. Besides, I want an excuse to take her driving, get to
know her, so to speak =)

YAAAAAAY!
