My early SCCA AP and IMSA GT1 expirence (not much, just a goffer/helper in
the mid to late 70's) was, there were two Chevy 305's, One small bore/long
stroke boat anchor and one 350 bore with a short throw crank that was highly
desired for road racing, quicker to get up into the rpms and able to sustain
high rpm's for longer periods.
