gas additives

Although I don't use synthetic lubricants in the roadster, I read with
interest the latest thread regarding same. I am curious about the effects of
gasoline additives, such as MTBE and the other crap put in gas, particularly
on the Left Coast. I'm sure that lack of lead in fuels and lowered octane
are not the only negative things to happen to our little old cars gaswise.
