As a case in point, back in 1965 or 1966, the Plymouth barracuda came out
with the 383, in addition to the standard slant 6 or the 273/318. Like the
240Z. the barracuda was also a uni-body car. A friend had a 383 version.
The barracuda is sturdier than the 240Z. Anyway, after about a year, he
could not open the doors because the body was so twisted. Needless to say,
he was not a happy camper.

Same can be said for a Z V8 conversion. The structure has trouble keeping
up with the 6. The torque of a V8 can tear apart a Z in less than 5,000
miles if the conversion doesn't include frame reinforcements.
