Hi everyone,
I've got a couple coolers that I can bring. Michael, can you advise me of a
local store so I can buy ice. Otherwise, I'll hit the 7-11 in South City.
Count me in for a few bucks for Korean BBQ. Maybe I can get a bucket of
potato salad at Costco. I've got coals and starter fluid. Are you tallying
a list of our offerings?
Also, if we do get the area at the edge of the meadow with the open space,
I can bring my catchers mitt and softballs for a little catching practice
(rusty, haven't played for 4 years). Anyone else care to do the same?
Michael, I think I can come early. If you're concerned about muggers I'll bring
a couple baseball bats! Damn, is there that much competition for the BBQ pits?

<<So who's bringing what? If people want to pitch $2-$4 dollars, I could
possibly make some Korean BBQ and bring it to grill.>>
Hello,
I dont know what everyone should bring so maybe everyone can volunteer and
bring what they want. That way we really dont have to come out with alot of
cash at the BBQ. Of course... we will need the following things.
Coals, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, table cloth(?), drinks, ice,
two coolers, hamburgers, sausages, other meats...?, chips... buns...etc.
If someone wants to make a potato salad or cole slaw or whatever just bring
it along. Other ideas are chili beans, baked beans, KFC...?
I will start by offereing to bring the hamburger meat and coals and an ice
chest. Make suggestions... that way we dont need to think to much. ;>)
Just a reminder... this is for the 12th Annual Old Cars in the Park Picnic
being held in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. There will be over 500 cars
there. Everything is being held on the lawn in Lindley Meadow, GGPark. I
will get there early! Maybe 7am to reserve a BBQ for BADROC. There are only
a dozen or so pits available. We will be able to park are cars on the grass
next to our picnic area. Last year there were close to 8 thousand people
present. Our Datsuns made a huge hit as we were the only Japanese cars
there. We were actually joined by a few British cars. Of course BADROC
showed common courtesy. The day starts early and ends at dusk. Parking gets
very difficult by 10am. Almost impossible after 12:00. The weather may be
hot or foggy. Typical SF weather. Last year it was over 80 degrees. The
year before was the same. Very little shade and bathroom facilities
available. Come on out and enjoy one of the best things about S.F.!
Oh yeah... feel free to come out early to help me block out a section. I
dont want to get mugged.
