There was a recent thread on measuring the resistance of sparkplug wires.
I was bored this afternoon and knew I had an old cheap set of plug wires
on the car, so I thought I'd put them on the ol' digital multimeter and
see what they said. All of them read between 120-132kOhms! Yikes!
So I got a plug wire kit from the parts store and measured one of them, 0!
0?
Am I dealing with two different types of wires? If I use the kit, do I
need resistance plugs? What's the diff between resistance plugs and
non-resistance plugs? (besides the obvious, does it matter which ones I
use? are both readily available?)
Could somebody clue me in... thanks!
