list,
i am just curious to know if maybe another list member would be interested in
buying some engines and trannys for the hard parts value. i have a 1970 1.6L
engine and transmission and a 1969 1.6L engine and transmission just sitting
in my yard. my brother and i are both working on our roadster restorations
and thought someone might be able to benefit from these engines instead of
them just sitting there. We were both told when we purchased our roadsters
that the car ran fine prior to it's final parking before our acquisition.
his 69 1.6L has been sitting for about a year and my 70 1.6L has been sitting
for about two months out of the car. both have the distributors, starters,
fuel pumps, tranny, etc. still bolted up. all we did was yank ( i mean,
gently remove) the engine/tranny from the car and set it aside.
i live in sacramento, california. i was thinking the first $400 takes them
both. if this is too much then let's talk.
