August most be a difficult month for roadster engines in TX. My 68 2000
died today with my hubby driving. He thinks it is a blown head gasket. I
must confess my lack of knowledge here - what is it going to take to fix
this? A new engine? Where do I get one of those? Recommendations for
mechanics in DFW area?

Yesterday my family fleet had 4 roadworthy vehicles. Today there are but 2.
Last night my teenage daughter backed into hubby's truck in the driveway- he
was driving the roadster today to get a new taillight assembly for
daughter's car.

Datsun Roadster Friends - July 2 my 1965 1500 died on I-45 near beautiful
Greenfield Texas. The engine threw a rod and was trucked back to Dallas.
Thanks to several folks for offering kind words and even engine
components from both seaboards. Thanks to Sid in Jacksonville, FL - I
was provided a short block and hopefully with luck my car will be
repaired and running this weekend. I found a guy locally who has
repaired my car carefully and not hassled me on the delay finding engine
bits and pieces. RIP engine numbered G93206, and welcome G84016. Thanks
to all who helped me out . Ted Carrington Duncanville, TX
