Not entirely...... (read below)
What info you gave:
> DD-704 Listed also as Jag XK rear, 58-59 MG, 58-64 MGA $79.00 whole set of
> four
> Shoe 359 Listed as 78-82 510 $79.00 whole set of four.
Let's clear this up:
Roadster front pads are the same as:
Jag: 62-68 XKE 4wh disc (front & rear same pads)
Jag 59-61 XK 150 4wh disc " "
MkII 59-67 4 wh disc " "
MG - ONLY the 59-60 MGA w/ 4 wh disc (the twin-cam 1600) fr & rr
No other MG applications will work.
My Beck-Arnely catalog pictures show them as 47.5mm wide (b/a pt# 082-0225)
Rear Shoes: I am not going to go as far as to say this listing (same as 510)
is wrong, but I am very suspect:
My B/A book lists # 081-1760 for that 78-81 510. It lists NO shoes for the
Roadster.
The 510 # also fits such cars as: 77-79 200SX; 84 200SX; 77-78 280Z; 77-80
810; and a few others.
The shoes MAY fit - I dunno. I don't have a measurement book available, I
do know that as the years go by, the companies try to fit more applications
w/ just one pt# - extra holes, "not quite exact fit" etc. I'd make sure they
are returnable if incorrect.
IIRC, when I did the shoes on my Roadster I had to have them sent out to be
relined- I did my research back then, and didn't come up w/any interchanges
at the time. Being yrs ago, ##'s may very well have been
consolidated/susperceded.
I recommend running down to local helpful parts house & looking at the pics
of the shoes to get a better idea for the rears.
This might be helpful (or really confusing!)...... who knows?!?
Laurie :-)
