So, it turned out to be a trick question after all.
Nissan made a funny change, (I think) switching that control from windshield
wiper pump to manual throttle, but it's gotta be the windshield wiper pump
on my '66 car. Makes a lot of sense -- the pump, reservoir and tubing had
all been removed by a PO (why bother -- the windshield wipers don't actually
seem to do anything anyway), so no surprise to see the control gone too.
Thanks for the answers -- I'll be back with more questions I'm sure, once I
start working on my car. An awesome resource folks!

PS: yeah, it's a "new" '66, it was, um, in temperature controlled storage,
yeah, right. It's new to me, Mr. Frisbee. The car itself is decidely un-new.
But a young lady at work asked me if it was "used" -- must be that
retro-styling thing.
