Hey List,
Until recently, the only 212 I had ever seen was at CDM. Les has one
although it is not in great shape, I am sure he hopes to make it great
someday. I had also seen the picture of Ross with the one he sent to Japan.
Then Mike shows a picture of a 212 that looks like it is going to be
restored.
Almost on queue, I got an email from the SoCalROC website from a person in
Texas who says they have a 1960 sp212. Says their Uncle was the original
owner and was also the owner of Downey Datsun until he died. So this person
emails me about SoCalROC. I emailed back saying that Texas has a club
(TDROC) and they should probably hook up with them. They are going to email
a pic of the car which I will forward to the list.
Hey Texas guys (Tom Walter, Marc Tyler and all the rest), you should contact
this person and make them a club member. Did I hear about a show in San
Antonio soon? How about having a 212 there!
