Hi All, Got a question for you racers out there. While checking over the oil pump on a 2L race engine I'm working on I found a 3/8" stack of washers in the cap for the regulator spring on the side of the pump. I assume this was done to raise the oil regulator/bypass opening pressure to a higher lb/psi. Anyone ever heard of doing this? Any comments on the pro's or con's? What is the normal pressure at which the bypass is activated? Tom (road warrior) P Hendersonville NC 68 2L #2771 |
