Have you had your brakes apart? After 30 years they may have tons of
junk built up in the pistons. I would flush my brakes every year, but
there was still collections of crud inside the pistons. This would lead
to leaks only when it was -20 or so in the garage, but the brakes never
felt really good. Replaced everything this Spring and now I'm a really
happy camper. Often the pits are too deep to correct. Stopping to me
is high on my list of things to get totally correct. A 10 year old air
cleaner is annoying, but not stopping can ruin more than your day.
