As far as I know Datsun was the name given to the markets outside Japan. Nissan always built the vehicles and it was about 1980 or so that they pulled everything under the Nissan name. The models in the first few years of the change had nissan and datsun both on the vehicle. The engine badges always said Nissan Motor Company. John Brasfield SEROC |
