i am happy to say (with several knocks on wood) that Mr.Magoo seems to be
running quite well these days. After the cracked piston partial rebuild, PIA
weber conversion, electric fan running slightly too hot and oil leaks galore,
now with su's 7 blader, running verrry cool, and a little porting and B cam,
there seems not much to do, well except for the passenger window surgery
scheduled this weekend. I pulled me plugs and they are a nice golden brown on
the electrode but the edges are a little sooty. Is this somewhat normal, as I
know the carbs are pretty lean? At least they are consistant. Finally, I got
my zx wheels back from my one-eyed painter and he did a wonderful job. I
custom colored the centers with a nice silver basecoat/clear and he left the
exposed aluminum unfinished and polished. Now to figure out if I need to
change the studs out or what to do. I will save the libres for special
occasions. BTW i also got a set of 195-55-14's from tire rack, dunlops. They
look very nice, but i hope they are not too harsh riding.
anything is better than my leaky 10 year old ones.
Happy 4th
