Just got my top frame and some other stuff back from the platers and boy, do
they look great! I posted a pic on our Photopoint site, if you're
interested. I'm plugging the shop again for us Greater Los Angeles Area
types, which, according to most media sources, covers Santa Barbara to the
Mexican border! I pass their name along only because shops like these are
getting harder and harder to find, what with all the EPA regs and such.

These guys do good, reasonable work. I don't know if what they did for me
would pass the little-pinky-out, restored-to-it's-original-roadster-finish
test, but I used to be a plater and it is good enough for me. On top of
that, they can handle itty-bitty nuts and bolts, brake and fuel lines (yes,
you can replate them, fittings and all) and, or course, top frames. They
didn't even mess up the plastic bushings in the hinges!
Prep is everything. The more time you spend in front of a wirewheel, the
better things come out. Give them a call if you have need of some corrosion
control.
