Hi all,

Just a little tidbit...I have been running a GM alternator in my Toyota 4X
for quite some time, and it has worked great! I had to replace it once, but
I have been running on the new one for about two years without a bit of
trouble. I am not sure exactly what model it is because the one I had to
replace had a chromed housing with no numbers on it. However, it has two
terminals aside from the battery connection (R & F). These both get tied to
"key on" power. There is a ground terminal on the housing, but I am just
running it grounded through the brackets.

By the way, I have never seen my volt gauge read below 14V- even when I
first start up. If I can locate a part number I will post it.

Best regards,
