Hello All,
The Milwaukee Roadster Club members (me) had the first Mississippi River
Run of the year. The weather was rainy and cold but the heater worked
great. It doesn't really matter what type of weather is encountered
because the river provides great views in any weather.
Logged 635 miles in 3 days. Had an almost mechanical trouble free trip.
Lost my lights around 4:30pm Saturday running up the river. Stopped in a
small Iowa river town and checked fuses. Lost the lights/Alt 30 amp
fuse. Replaced the fuse which fried almost immediately. Ended up
following a fast BMW (with lights) 50 miles up to La Crosse, WI. Stayed
the night in La Crosse and found a NAPA store in the morning. Bought 6ea
30 amp fuses and a spare voltage regulator. Installed a new fuse and
stopped for gas. A mech. was working and put his new electrical system
checker outer on the car. It said that all was well except that the
battery should be replaced. The lights worked the rest of the trip (3rd
fuse) home but now the wipers wouldn't work???? I'm wondering if I've
got some lose wiring that's causing intermittent problems. At least I
got home ok thanks to rain-X.
