I had an estimate to have my car soda blasted,
cost was $100 per hour for soda blasting, takes about 6 hours ($600)
Sand blasting was $75 per hour and takes about 4 1/2 - 5 hours ($350-400)
Soda is supposed to be better for the body, doesn't warp it like sand can.
Prices may be different in california. I am in Idaho.
With sand plasting I believe that it is ready to DP40 prime afterward, with the
soda you still have metal prep to do priming.
Rust repair: sand blast around the area cut out the rust and properly weld in a
new or patch panel/piece.
