HI list,
I got my race car up and running and out OT an auto-x last Sunday.
Details on the car, stock 1600 motor, with a 3inch exaugst. comp front
springs, 66 rear leaf springs, panard rod, comp front sway bar, some 5
year old race rites (almost used up) and lots of other little things.
So after a long weekend of long hours on the car, I go it started sat
night, Fixed the master clutch cylinder Sunday morning (bypass valve was
sticking open) and had Dan G. come over and help with a performance tune
up. I then drove it out of my garage (parents) and around the block (The
first time the motor had be started in over 4 years, it ran great!) then
hooked it up to my '70 Datsun pickup and towed it over to PIR for the
auto-x that afternoon.
Here are the results, my friend came out with me and the timers had our
order mixed so my times are under Kenshu Kumagai (**), and my friends ties are
under Eric Wittinger.
I am quite happy with this, considering the car has not been aligned, the
toe in/out is off, and the camber is who knows where.
