Vic Laury, Craig Carter et. al,
Believe me when I tell you my comments about the SU cars were made because
this particular one didn't have the power my solex has. I have no doubt that
Vic's and Craig's cars are fast: I have seen them in action. No, I was
complimenting your driving skills. In my opinion, I need all the advantages
I can get when I am on the road with you guys, and at least if I have the
illusion that my car is faster, it might actually HELP me go faster. I think
I will take Vic up on his offer to switch cars at the next run. The only
experience I have had with a 2000 other than mine was the 1970 I drove today
and it wasn't as fast as mine. I am sure that Vic and Craig's cars are
dialed in and fast.
I don't think my solex is any better than anyone else's car. I was after a
67 2000 and I got lucky to find one for sale only six miles from my house.
It also had the solex setup. I got lucky and that is the truth.
My apologies to Les and company for not stopping by. Liz and I decided to go
grocery shopping and had to get home before the beer got cold. :-)
Never fear, I am going to be going to down to CDM next Saturday. Hey Vic, if
you have the time come on down. We'll try out each other's cars.
