I would talk to Pertronix then, they will make good on them.
Were you triggering a coil directly? That should work OK unless the coil
has too low of an impedance.
The preferred way is to trigger a MSD6AL on the point trigger wire with the
Pertronix. There is no reason they should fail in a racing application
unless the dist shaft is wobbling.
