Nick:
On "retorquing head bolts", start on the inside, like #4, loosen one at
a time, working alternately, out to the each end of the head. Take each
bolt out, clean the threads and lubricate with engine oil, and replace
it, '"snug" tight. After this has been done, retorque to 50 ft-lbs, in
the same pattern; that is, starting in the middle.
Adjusting the valves, "hot"--.017", (recommended); cold--.021". I
developed the forwarded data sheet using Tom Walter's ideas, which I've
found very useful. Oh, BTW, I use a "come-along" (hoist, hooked to
front bumper) with the car in gear (like 3rd) to rotate the engine.
