Everything is apart. I'm holding the offending piston. All the metal in my
pan was aluminum. The bore looks good and so does the rod journals. Looks
like I lucked out.
Les is digging his attic for one std piston and rings. I may be running by
the end of the week.
My neighbor has lent me the Dasher wagon again. God Bless good neighbors!
the poor thing was sitting almost a year but started right up. A good
washing and it's still the ugliest thing on four wheels but it'll get me to
work tomorrow.
