Ah, patience is a virtue.
In a quest to complete interior/driveability projects, every one started has
uncovered 3 more, but that's part of thechallenge I looked forward to.
Went to install soft top clips, a lesson in patience and screw thread rust
removal of its own, and discovered that someone had bent the soft top bow,
so that the center clip is about 3/8" forward of where it should be.
Has anyone ever re-bent one of these successfully? Did you make yourself a
jig? Do you cut the sheet metal, rebend, then re-weld? Is this better left
to someone who has a clue? Aren't all these questions annoying?
On a more positive note, I looked through Victor Laury's photo guide through
timing chain replacement, and even with brief captions, it is one of the
best (and with clear, detailed pictures) of a remove and replace procedure.
Keeping a stiff upper lip, (I think stiffer than the soft top bow....)
