PLEASE HELP!!!
I recently bought a restored shell that is fully painted. The PO
painted the car a light silver blue color-just a tinge bluer than the
stock silver.
I need to determine what the proper paint code is to get more paint.
The PO had no information to help me, but did have an
empty gallon paint can left over from the paint job. The Mfg.'s label
is still on the can but some of the information is blocked
out by paint drips.
I'm hoping someone out there will recognize enough of the readable
information from the label in order to "fill in the blanks".
The information on the label is as follows:
1. PPG Delstar Acrylic Enamel (Mfg.'s info printed on label)
2. Silver Gray ??? (hand-written on label-last word
illegible-maybe "met" for metallic??);
3. Da ? (three letter handwritten word-last letter
illegible-could this be a "T" for "Datsun" ???) This is followed by
5-digit
number, ? 2 ? 3 6. I can barely see through the paint
drips-my best guess is that this number is 3 2 5 3 6 but I'm not
certain about the first and third numbers.
4. Datsun Code ? ? (Two digit number-both very
faint/illegible but my best guess on this one is 5 1).
Can anybody help??
