Hi gang,
It was another fabulous day for roadster cruising on Sunday. I started out
by meeting Phil at the Mission Bay info center at 7:30am. We clipped along
at a pretty good pace and made it up to CDM in about 40 minutes. At the
shop, we were greeted by Les, Warren and Vince Manocchi, the photographer
for "Collectible Automobile" magazine. Vince was there to shoot my 65 and
Warren's 66 to use in an article about Datsun roadsters. Vince gave us
copies of the April 2000 issue with a '53 Nash Rambler Convertible Coupe on
the cover. This is a very cool magazine with great articles and pictures on
collectible and even not so collectible cars (this issue had a spread on
Chevy Vega's). They really show the cars in an interesting light. As an
example, the article for the Vega delved into the history on the
development of the design. I can't wait to see what they put together for
the roadster!! I think everybody is going to want to get a copy for their
roadster memorabilia collection. For the shoot, we were also joined by
Craig Carter from Orange County in his 70 2000. We had a 10am deadline to
make it to Julian by 11am, the
