With modern antifreeze, changed per manufactures
recommendations, will protect the aluminum &
cast irons engines from galvanic corrosion.
For flat out RACING, plain water actually has
a better transfer of heat ratio, than water &
antifreeze. Admitted also a lower boiling point.
For those engines, running a scraficial zinc
anode is ideal.
As to the body, dry location is best. If in
a damp location, it is almost better to store
the vehicle in an OPEN area to prevent condensation.
Small enclosed barn with a wet dirt floor will
rust out a roadster very quickly!
Cheers,
Tom
