All,
As you could probably tell from my question yesterday, I survived the
business trip to Vegas. While I was there, I had a VERY nice visit with
Keith, and he graciously gave me a tour of his garage and roadster
collection. Needless to say, I was green with envy when I left as he has a
fantastic place to work on things and lots of cool roadster stuff. (Thanks
for the clear turn signal lens!! Let me know if you want to part with the
other!!) It is always good to meet up with someone on the list to put a
face with a name.
While I am here, I want to ask another few questions. I looked into getting
my car painted, but the price quote was too high. I have to do it myself.
Before I get to that, I have to weld up the front rocker ends where the
fenders bolt on. Those are the only rust spots on the car. What kind of
welder should I get? I have NEVER welded before, so this will be a first
try. From what I can tell, MIG is the way to go, but are the 110 volt
jobbies OK?
TIA
Sid
