Well.... looks like I get to add my name to the list of folks acquiring extra
roadsters these days. Remember a few weeks back Lance posted a "come
-n-get-it call" for a parts car he had? In short, I did.
This 2000 is titled and trimmmed as a '69, but the VIN points to '68
(SRL311-01035) Kinda hard to know if this is correct, as the only VIN
markings left is a silly little sticker put in the door jamb by the state of
AZ. They may have just "picked one"??? (Ok, Lance or Ron, any clues?)
No eng/trans, but sound body/frame et c. After wracking my brain, I think I
just may have enough parts stashed in storage back in WA to actually make a
near complete car outta this- although the only spare engine I happen to have
is a 1600. Hmmm..... V6-3.0 thoughts again ! <G>
No, I'm not parting it out (or *him* shall I say - I'm sure this one's a
boy). This one is in good enough shape to put back together. It just gets to
go keep 3 Ford Cortinas and a bunch of sail-planes company out in the middle
of the desert for now. Gotta finish one car at a time y'know!!! (getting
ready to paint the top half of my little white car RED !)
On another note: went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction this past weekend !!!!
WOWEEIE !!!! That was the coolest thing in the world. The exchange of $$
going on in matters of minutes is phenomenal!!!!!!! I'ts a must-do for the
"automotively afflicted."
Laurie :-)
70 SPL311 + 69(?) SRL311 too !
