Dan; where did you ever get the idea that stainless steel doesn't corrode?
While it is certainly true that some alloys are extremely corrosion resistant,
the lower grade alloys (304, for example) that frequently are the ones that are
most "formable" (bendable) certainly do corrode. As a matter of fact, a lot of
late-model vehicles for the USA are equipped with parts of the exhaust system
made of stainless steel, since the emissions systems are mandated to be
warranteed for 5 years or whatever it is, and at least parts of the exhaust are
considered to be part of the emissions control. But the stainless pipes, heat
sheilds, etc. don't last forever!
FYI, materials that contain chlorides (for example hydrochloric acid and sodium
chloride - like in salt water) are pretty hard on stainless steel - at least
the 300 grades that I'm familiar with.

Hi MIke,
Huh..rusting out from the inside huh?? I HOPE that was with thie
older models. The guy at Summit said this was a newer model that is made
entirely of stainless steel. So it better not rust out right???
