Tom,
    They're 44s.  It kills me to have to sell this set 'cause when they're 
gone, they're gone.  Plus they really are ultra cool looking.  I hear they 
work pretty good too!  ;-)  And, yes, they are brand-spankin' new.  The first 
time they were taken out of the box was when I photographed them for eBay.  
Sigh.
