Saturday was spent doing more prep work on the 67 1600. The weather has
been unseasonably warm for the midwest. I prepared the frame and suspension
for it's second coat of POR 15 (great stuff) and ended the day by mounting
the brake master cylinder. It feels much better making progress in the
"positive" direction, putting parts back on, rather than always taking off!
I am going to swap the calipers and rear cylinders from a later model
roadster (all components are already new or rebuilt) onto the 67. The later
rear cylinders have a smaller bore right? With this being the case, and
with the earlier master cylinder being a single instead of a dual, will this
still allow the brakes to operate correctly? (ie. will the
cylinders/calipers still have the correct front to rear proportion to
optimize braking?)
More questions to come as I am try to "get busy" on this project so next
spring and the warm weather doesn't sneak up on me!
Thanks
Nathan
