Brass float?s

    Well now that my carbs are working well again, I need to replace a few parts
I
  borrowed from Teddy.  Any one have any experience with fixing brass floats?
  Mine was half full of gas when we pulled it out.  The two spares I had didn't
  look too good either ( something else to blame on the PO!  <grin> ) so I have
  three of them to repair.  Or would I be better off buying new ones?
