I recently began driving my 69 1600 and noticed that it was making noises
from the passenger front wheel when I was driving on my rough gravel
driveway. It is a fairly smooth ride on the road though.
I pushed down on my fender and it did about what I would expect - dampened
out after a couple times. I removed the shock and it also did about what I
would expect - hard to extend and not too hard to compress.
I have no idea how many miles or how old these shocks are. They are made by
Monro.
My questions are: should I just replace the shocks anyway? What else could
be causing these noises?
Thanks,
Steve Carter
